So I’ve decided to make this shiz izzle a little more personizzle, because apparently people like people, and people also like the style of my tumblr. 

I haven’t posted anything in a while because I’ve just survived my first week of University, and it’s been a blast for the most part. Something today did strike a note though. I was in Australian History and Politics, and of course our class erupted into an argument regarding our current political situation. It was reaching it’s highest amplitude when one man says, very audaciously: 

“I have a solution. People with a higher education should be given more importance when voting.”

Well, didn’t that strike a nerve. I had these 2 points in argument:

1. You can’t measure intelligence, and 
2. Even if you could, education doesn’t eliminate bias. You’re not making it any fairer, simply more unfair.

Don’t get me wrong, I love ideas and opinions, but I really think arguments should always remain objective and open, which I didn’t really see in this guy. My opinion is that if this proposal was in place, the social divide between people would be greater, and we’d slip back into the social organisation of ‘classes’, ie the upper and lower classes. So, does that mean that someone who has tracked the parliamentary action for the past 20 years isn’t as informed as a bachelor of theatre media? I don’t think so.

So what do you guys think of that? Give me some feedback, because I feed off feedback, and I love the response y’all pump out (was that apostrophe in the right spot? I’m not good with American lingo.) Needless to say, this guy got crucified pretty well, for good reason.

Quite night in on the uni campus I’m thinking, will get some work done, and just mellow out to my lovely new tunes. Also, if you guys can’t sleep, I can guarantee this shit will work.
